Jammu Feb 16, 2010: A critical appraisal of various projects of Transport Sector under execution with ADB funding was taken up by CEO, ERA Mr. B.B. Vyas. A presentation in this regard was made by Mr. M.M. Gupta Director ERA. During the presentation, 6 road and bridge, sub-projects were identified where progress was found to be between 25 to 50 %. Similarly, 15 sub-project were identified where progress is less than 25%. Such projects were taken under special focus for monitoring. Activity flow charts were prepared for each such project, and the critical activities were identified. Major impediments like land acquisition, shifting of utilities, cutting of trees were discussed in respect of each scheme and CEO desired that a special drive be made to clear these impediments at the earliest. It was decided that Director will monitor these critical projects more frequently and all out effort shall be made to complete the project at an earliest.
