Subject CEO, ERA inspects work on deep drain along Airport Road
Principal Secretary to HCM Shri B.B Vyas who is also Chief Executive Officer, J&K ERA today inspected work on deep drain along Airport road
CEO J&K ERA took on spot review of the progress achieved so far on the project and gave instructions to ERA engineer’s, consultants and contractor to further expedite the pace of work on drain so that traffic on road is restored at earliest.
Project Manager, Urban, Kashmir, J&K ERA informed CEO, J&K ERA that work on drain was started in early winter of 2011 and till date more than 800 meters of drain has been completed. Project Manager further informed CEO J&K ERA that J&K ERA is making all efforts to ensure that traffic on I.G road via post office lane is restored by 20th May. He explained to CEO J&K ERA that at first road will be restored up to G2 level, to observe for any settlements before blacktopping the road.
CEO J&K ERA directed Project Manager to take all necessary measures to ensure that deadline of 20th May for completion of work on drain is met. He also instructed consultants and contractor to ensure safety of the structures being constructed.
Later CEO J&K ERA also inspected work on Taley Manzil –Nishat water pipeline which is being laid by J&K ERA under water supply component of its urban component. CEO ERA expressed satisfaction over the fact that more than 90% progress has been achieved on the project.
