Subject ERA further gears up work on drain along Airport road.
The Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency (J&K ERA) is making all out efforts to complete the work on main drain along the Airport road in quickest possible time. The work on drain was started in winter of 2011 and despite harsh weather 600 meters of main drain has been completed till date.
Work on both the fronts of I.G road has been further accelerated and is going on in full swing. Every day work starts at 7 am and continues till late evening. The agency is making all efforts to complete the work on drain at the earliest. It is pertinent to mention here that concrete work requires proper setting time before any other activities can be carried out. Further only a limited portion of trench can be opened in one go as transit mixers carrying concrete must have approach to the trench and opening of longer trench will endanger the adjacent structures and other tube of I.G Road which if damaged will result in crises beyond control.
Although ERA is trying its level best to minimise inconvenience to people but nature of work is such that people will have to bear some inconvenience during execution of work.
