Chief Minister Inaugurates Rehabilitation complexes for shopkeepers getting displaced due to the construction of JCRB expressway
Hon’ble Chief Minister of J& K State, Jenab Omar Abdullah today inaugurated two rehabilitation complexes constructed by J&K ERA for the rehabilitation of shopkeepers getting displaced due to the construction of Jehangir chowk- Rambagh expressway corridor.
The construction work on both the commercial complexes has been allotted to JKPCC (Jammu & Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation) state’s premier public sector construction agency. The rehabilitation complexes have been provided with all the prerequisites of contemporary shopping complex viz adequate underground car parking space, separate public convenience for male and female shoppers, fire safety system and building lift system.
Decorated with traditional Dajji Diwari look on outer façade the four storeyed rehabilitation complex at Jehangir Chowk which is estimated to cost Rs 50 crores having floor area of 1,42,000 square feet has adequate parking facility for 100 cars and godowns in basement and comprises of 152 shops and office space in 2nd and 3rd floor. The complex has all the facilities of a latest shopping complex like building lift system and separate public convenience for male and female shoppers.
Similarly another rehabilitation complex at Rambagh ( estimated to cost Rs 48.93 crores ) embellished with attractive ACP (Aluminium Composite Paneling) on outside has floor area of 1,04,000 square feet with three storeys, parking space for 70 cars in basement. Hon’ble Chief Minister also inspected the Srinagar office of J&K ERA which is functioning from the top floor of the complex at Rambagh.
Jenab Ajay Sadhotra Hon’ble Minister for Planing, labour and Employment, Jenab Abdul Majid wani, Hon’ble minister for R&B ,mechanical engineering , Jenab Nasir Aslam Wani, Hon’ble MLA Amirakadal,Jenab Irfan Shah MLA Batmaloo, Mr Rohit Kansal Divisional commissioner, Kashmir, Mr Farooq Ahmad Shah, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr Abdul Gani Mir, Inspector General Police, Kashmir, Mr. Thaseen Mustafa Chief Executive Officer, J&K ERA , Managing Director JKPCC and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. The representatives of shopkeepers getting displaced due to the construction of JCRB expressway were also present during the event.
